Thanks to each generation’s perseverance, tenacity, and commitment, they have been able to adapt to market changes and customers’ demands, diversifying products with the foundation of Tradicional Panadera.
Today it is a leading company in manufacturing different formats of sliced bread, hamburgers and hot dogs.
In 1900 Ignacio Martín, the great-grandfather, already made artisan bread every day in a small wood oven for the residents of Getafe.
In 1950, manufacturing was industrialised in a small factory in the centre of Getafe, under the name of Panificadora Popular, investing in machinery to increase production and supply-demand.
In 1974 the facilities were moved to the Industrial Estate “Los Ángeles” of Getafe.
A new factory of more than 3,500 m2 with production automation by introducing the latest developments in the sector.
In 1984 the facilities were expanded, becoming one of the first bakeries nationwide.
In 1990, packaged bread was introduced, beginning our expansion throughout the Spanish peninsula and the Balearic Islands.
In 2000 Tradicional Panadera, S.L, specialized in the sliced bread segment, launching the first line of sliced bread.
In 2006, Tradicional Panadera expanded the range of products with a line of savoury pastries with hamburger bread and hot dogs, doubling the size of the facilities.
In 2018 the “Grupo Mayrit” assumes the company’s new direction, with strategic vision and business growth goals. With a rebranding of the Tradicional Panadera logo.

Today Tradicional Panadera is a consolidated company recognised in the food market for its quality and customer service, part of MIA FOOD Group with other food sector companies.
